Comics

Comics get better and better all the time.  I do not understand why more people do not buy comics from Humanoids Publishing.  The issues of Heavy Metal that sell these days are only there because of the original Metal Hurlant that was a French magazine.  The stories and art from those editions were head and shoulders above what is produced today.  That said, there are some above average artists and writers today.  Lee Bermejo, Jim Lee and Bernie Wrightson as artists and Steve Niles and Scott Snyder as writers are some of the bright spots currently.  What most people miss is the fact that comics have grown up with people like me.  Except for the likes of Bugs Bunny and Archie, most comics have an adult emphasis.  This is not always good but for myself I love the adult lines.  My feeling is the human person is becoming more mature as time goes by.  Children grow up more quickly and they understand life more.
